occupational safetyCoking operations place considerable demands on plant employees and in the past have posed a high level of risk. OKK´s management therefore places exceptional emphasis on ensuring occupational safety and the observation of safety principles in all internal operations.

The company emphasises:

  • Improving work hygiene
  • Increasing the operational safety of equipment and technologies
  • Monitoring of compliance with occupational safety principles
  • Regular employee training

The success in the prevention of occupational injuries in the operations of OKK Koksovny, a. s., is documented by long-term statistics:

  • No fatality since 2005
  • Reduction to a minimum of occupational injuries requiring hospital care
  • Lasting uninterrupted reduction in the numbers in all categories of occupational injuries

The monitored indicators for injury rates (severity of injuries, number of injuries per head, number of shifts lost due to occupational injuries) show very low numbers are being maintained.
