OKK Koksovny, a.s. strives to minimize the impact of their production activities on the environment and invests considerable funds in ecological projects.

Major ecological projects completed in 2018

New solid pollutant separators with fabric filters were put into operation at coke grading plants as a replacement for wet level separators.

Major ecological projects completed in 2019

Completion of the modernization of the ammonia absorber.

Completion of the modernization of filling arm during the loading of raw benzene and coal tar.

The nozzles and hydro-injection pumps were renewed (the occupying coke oven chambers).

New solid pollutant separators were replaced by filter units equipped with state-of-the-art filter fins, including a cleaning control system.

The aim of all these actions was to reduce the emissions produced in the production of coke.

Within the project “Automation of chemical production”, the management of selected technological processes was centralized. Changes in the installed technical and safety systems contribute to reducing the risk of major-accident and endanger the environment.
