Our basic activity is production of coke from quality coking coal, which is mined in the Upper Silesian Coal Basin, but also in other parts of Europe and the world. Production of thermal insulations, production of iron and cast iron, chemical production and a number of other industries cannot do without our products. We belong to the European top in coke production. In addition to different types of coke, produced for demanding clientele on the national and international markets, the coke plant produces significant quantity of desulphurised coke-oven gas, tar, benzol, ammonium sulphate and elementary sulphur.
The production capacity of OKK Koksovny, a.s. is ca. 800kt of coke per year.
