The Environmental Protection and Safety Policy of OKK, a.s.

The company OKK Koksovny, a.s. is producer of coke, coke oven gas and other chemical products.

In its activities, OKK Koksovny, a.s. applies effective practices for reducing negative impacts on the environment and human health.
The Company is therefore seeking safe and environmentally responsible management that will lead to its long-term stability and prosperity. It is based on an analysis of current and future customer needs and expectations.
The published policy is built on the introduction and consistent application of the environmental protection and safety management system (including occupational safety, accident prevention and in particular the prevention of major accidents), and it is perceived by the Company as a welcoming expression to the public and future generations.

OKK Koksovny, a.s. undertakes to:

1. in its activities comply with all relevant compliance obligations
2. promote in practice the principles of continuous improvement to further develop the environmental management system and increase safety
3. prevent emergency conditions by seeking risks and implementing safe professional practices, effectively and efficiently implement measures in the field of environmental protection and safety
4. generate and subsequently apply financial resources for the implementation of safety measures and ensuring the environmental protection
5. educate employees and raise their awareness on issues influencing the environment and safety
6. apply the principles of the environmental protection and safety in relationships with suppliers
7. maintain and develop the environmental protection and safety management system to achieve goals and target values, verify them by the Company management.

This policy is a binding document for all Company employees and cooperating entities. It is reviewed regularly and is part of the presentation of our Company.
