Integrated Policy

OKK Koksovny, a.s. is a producer of coke, coke oven gas and other chemical products. It applies effective practices in its operations to reduce negative impacts on the environment and human health and is committed to continuously improving its environmental and safety performance.

The company strives for safe and environmentally responsible management that will lead to long-term stability and prosperity. This is based on an analysis of the current and future needs and expectations of customers, employees, the public and other stakeholders.

The declared policy is based on the introduction and consistent application of an environmental and safety management system (including occupational safety, accident prevention and major accidents). The company also emphasises the responsible use of natural resources and the introduction of innovative, environmentally friendly technologies.

OKK Koksovny, a.s. undertakes to:

1. To comply with the relevant mandatory environmental and safety obligations in its activities.
2. Promote the principles of continuous improvement of the environmental management system and occupational safety.
3. Prevent accidents by identifying risks and implementing safe working practices and implement environmental and safety measures effectively and efficiently.
4. Develop and effectively use financial resources to implement safety measures and ensure environmental protection, employee safety and prevention of work accidents.
5. Educate employees and raise their awareness on environmental and occupational safety issues.
6. Apply the principles of environmental protection and safety also in relations with suppliers and business partners.
7. Maintain and develop the environmental and safety management system to meet best available practices and international standards.
8. Support the development and implementation of environmentally friendly technologies that minimize negative environmental impacts.

Our company is committed to continuously improving our environmental and safety practices. It is regularly reviewed to ensure it is up to date and effective in line with the latest knowledge and requirements.
